CHALETS There’s no place like home. Comfortable and affordable self-contained chalets available at the resort for Holiday Rentals or Shareholding all year round. Accommodation in this forest type setting is truly regenerating for mind, body and soul. There are private, fully equipped and furnished units, with linen, cutlery and crockery for six guests. Each A-frame chalet is built for comfort with two bedrooms upstairs and a downstairs bedroom with one bathroom. The new chalets consist of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Wildlife untamed. The area abounds with an array of bird species, including the resident elegant Peacocks and Guinea Fowl. Gear up for a pleasurable 2km hike on our “Bosbok” hiking trail through the Indigenous forest with abundant wildlife such as the Bushbuck, red- and blue duiker and the shy porcupine. Bushbuck Tragelaphus scriptus Zulu word – Nkonka The common large antelope is the secretive bushbuck. The male is chocolate brown in colour with a few white spots and stands about 80 cm at the shoulder. Bushbucks usually occur singularly or in pairs and females have territories which they defend against other intruding males. Female bushbuck is slightly smaller and although they have similar white markings they are light fawn in colour and do not have horns. A simplified overview of Shareholding: Umzumbe Chalets Share Block Limited was registered as the owner of the land and buildings, and each Chalet was allocated a number of shares (known as the “share block”) in the company which entitles the registered Shareholder to the exclusive use and occupation of the Chalet. This means that a person is acquiring a share in a company entitling him/her to use and occupy a specific chalet for a specified period.
